Share Your News With The GAHLC Journal

The GAHLC Journal is the official newsroom of the Georgia Haitian Leadership Coalition, covering news that matters to the Haitian community, from our cities here in Georgia, to the national level, to Haiti and the wider diaspora.

If your organization, church, business, or family has news our community should know about, we invite you to submit it for consideration. Community-serving items may be featured in The GAHLC Journal.

What We Publish
Coalition news and announcements; leadership insights; community initiatives and milestones; strategic partnerships; event highlights (submitted in advance); stories reflecting the progress and impact of Georgia's Haitian community; and news affecting the Haitian community locally, nationally, and internationally.

What Makes a Submission Feature-Ready
Relevant: connected to Georgia's Haitian community, the Haitian diaspora, or Haiti, with clear community impact.
Accurate and verifiable: names, dates, locations, and facts we can confirm, with a contact person for follow-up questions.
Complete: the who, what, when, where, and why, written in full sentences rather than a flyer alone. Photos are welcome when you have the right to share them; please include photo credits.
Timely: event items at least seven days in advance when possible; news tips as early as you can.
Community-serving: news and stories that inform or uplift the community, not advertisements or purely promotional material.

How to Submit
Email your item to contact@georgiahaitianleadership.org with the subject line 'GAHLC Journal Submission' (or 'News Tip' for a tip). Include your full text, the name and phone or email of a contact person, and any photos with credits.

All submissions are reviewed by the Coalition. Items may be edited for length, clarity, and style, and submission does not guarantee publication.
